Composed to give pleasure to a child, most of it describing the letter-head picture--bridge over the Tay at Perth: how little Andrew's father used to lie on bank reading at this spot when a child; how Uncle Melville will take him fishing, here, in the summer, etc. A message to his brother, Andrew, expressing concern at his continued bad health. On stationery featuring an engraved scene of "Perth."
